Did you miss me?
If you are an avid Robert follower (ha), you know that my life has been a bit busy as of late. Not to say that this is an excuse for me neglecting my blog… trust me. My heart aches thinking about the posts that I never got to write for you fine people.
That’s what this post is for.
In one beautiful (and brief[ish]) blog post, I need to catch you all up on the goings-on of the past two months. And I don’t intend to leave anything out. Wish me luck.
True to my final post before my hiatus, I ventured to California. And while a few issues came about, (getting the flu 2 days before departure, for example) I had a great time.
Check out these pictures from the trip…
Expect a more elaborate post about this trip sometime soon.
The Borgen Project:
After vacation, school started back up. My final semester of college.
*Pause for tears*
Yes…my FINAL semester of college. Trust me, I have no idea how I got this far in life either.
Contrary to my expectations, starting up my last semester wasn’t completely heartbreaking. I have since settled into my classes and have started my latest challenge in life: The Borgen Project.
I found this internship and immediately fell in love with the concept. As a content intern, I get to choose a topic relating to global poverty and write a weekly article about it. The article relates global poverty to one of several “focuses”. My focus, for example, is business & technology.
So far, I am three articles into my internship. It’s been an amazing experience that has helped me to sharpen my skills as a writer. And with three weeks down and ten to go, I can’t wait to see what is in store for me.
I’m planning to put together a page to feature my Borgen Project pieces somewhere on my website. Stay tuned.
Interning, entry-level employment, and beyond:
Being the workaholic that I am, a full-time job, full-time school, and an internship isn’t enough for me. I need to work myself to complete insanity before I’m satisfied.
So I am also pursuing entry-level marketing opportunities and internships. And on top of my full-time job at a hotel and random other writing contributions, my plate is ….full. For now.
I’ll be the first to admit, I’m not exactly sure where everything is going in my life. I’m 22 years young (see the picture above from my surprise party), so I think I have time to figure it out.
I hope you will enjoy finding it all out with me. Follow this blog, my Youtube channel and my Instagram to stay in the loop.
