Hello, you wonderful, caring people!
If you happen to be in the Milwaukee, WI area on July 21st, check this out.
I am hosting an informational event for an amazing charity called The Borgen Project. If you’ve read any of my past posts, you know how much I love TBP and the work that they do to fight global poverty.
Here’s the deal: 50% of the global population lives in poverty. A lot of times, it can feel like we are powerless to move this statistic in the right direction. I didn’t even know how to contact my representatives before I started working with The Borgen Project (hint: it’s easy).
That’s why I love The Borgen Project’s work so much. They focus on a practical way to advocate for poverty: political advocacy. By encouraging people to use their voice on a micro-level, TBP makes a huge difference for poverty legislation in the US.
At the meeting, we’re going to talk all about this organization’s amazing work; as well as ways that you can get involved with The Borgen Project. Even if you don’t have time to volunteer, come to the meeting. I’ll be showing ways that you can make a difference for global poverty in one minute or less.
Check out the flyer above, or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. You can also read up on the organization at https://borgenproject.org/
Hope to see you there!
